Facts: My client was stopped while going 100 mph on his motorcycle travelling north on I-75. The officer began his DUI investigation after detecting an odor of alcohol coming from my client. After participating in Field Sobriety Exercises, my client was arrested and charged with DUI. Our office filed a Motion to Suppress Evidence arguing that the officer lacked the required reasonable suspicion to begin a DUI investigation. The State agreed to drop the DUI.

Facts: My client was driving home from an evening out with friends. During the ride home, my client and the passenger stopped at a gas station. A disruption occurred inside the gas station that prompted the gas station attendant to contact law enforcement. A short while later, law enforcement stopped the vehicle that my client was driving. A subsequent DUI investigation began and my client was arrested on suspicion of DUI. After speaking with the state attorney regarding specific legal issues, the state agreed to drop the case entirely.

After being charged with the DUI, we set the case for trial and the State agreed to drop the DUI in exchange for a plea to a Reckless Driving which included no probation at all.

After refusing to participate in Field Sobriety Exercises, my client was arrested for suspicion of DUI. We set the case for trial and the State agreed to dismiss the DUI charge in exchange for a plea to a Reckless Driving and no probation at all.

Facts: A phone call was placed to the police reporting that my client was making threatening statements to an individual. Upon arrival at the individual's residence, the officer observed my client drive from the back yard through the side yard, narrowly missing the officer who was speaking to the reporting individual. After stopping my client, the officer detected the odor of alcohol and observed a slurred speech pattern. My client refused to participate in Field Sobriety Exercises and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. After speaking with the State about potential weaknesses in their case, the State agreed to Drop the DUI and offer my client a Reckless Driving.

Facts: My client was stopped for a traffic violation while riding her bike. The officer approached my client and requested that my client move her bike to the center median. The officer was guiding my client's bike to the median while my client was on the bike when another officer came from behind my client and removed her from the bike. In the ensuing moments, both the officer and my client went to the ground. Multiple officers arrived on the scene and my client was arrested and charged with Resisting With Violence. After conducting depositions of the officers involved in the stop and arrest, the State agreed to completely drop all charges against my client.

After participating in field sobriety exercises, my client was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At the conclusion of a complete examination performed by a Drug Recognition Expert, the Expert determined that my client was under the influence of marijuana and possibly other drugs. After reviewing the video and all of the evidence relating to the case, we set the case for trial. The State dropped all charges prior to trial.

Facts: The statements of witnesses led to the arrest of my client on kidnapping charges. The incident allegedly occurred in the middle of the day with many people nearby. Through the process of depositions we were able to find inconsistencies in previously provided witness testimony. Prior to trial, the state dropped all charges.

Facts: My client was stopped on the basis of a speeding violation shortly after leaving a bar. The officer detected the odor of alcohol and other observations of impairment. While at the jail, a breath test of .077 was recorded. We immediately began negotiations with the state and the state agreed to drop all charges prior to filing on the DUI.

Facts: Police responded to the scene of an alleged altercation which was reported to have occurred at my client's residence. A search of the house produced a gun and ammunition. My client was arrested based upon witness statements and the above-mentioned evidence which was recovered from the house. After obtaining witness statements and communicating with the State Attorney, all charges were dismissed before the case was filed on.

Facts: The police arrived to the scene of an accident where my client struck another vehicle while driving home from dinner. After observing an odor of alcohol and other signs of impairment, the police requested that my client participate in Field Sobriety Exercises. Upon completion of these exercises, my client was arrested. The officers then requested that a breath test be provided and my client provided a breath test of .153 (an enhanced dui). Upon reviewing all of the discovery, we noticed that the 20 minute observation period was not substantially complied with. A Motion to Suppress was filed and argued before the Judge. Upon the Judge granting our motion, the breath results were ruled to be excluded from evidence. After this ruling, the State agreed to dismiss the DUI and offer a Reckless driving.

As a result of this review, we filed a Motion to Suppress based on Lack of Consent to participate in Field Sobriety Exercises. After a hearing on the matter, the court granted our motion. As a result, the State agreed to dismiss the DUI.
